Beatrice has been singing since the tender age of five. She has always been involved in music ministry. Her passion is music. Beatrice is known to amaze audiences with her talent and gift of singing, and after 40+ years, she's still amazing audiences. She has been inspired by many artists such as Aretha Franklin, Tramaine Hawkins, Mahalia Jackson, Yolanda Adams, CeCe Winans, Evang. Gloria White and Evang. Rubenstein McClure, to name a few.

Recently, Beatrice was blessed to release her debut CD entitled "Simply Me".

The CD features a variety of sounds and styles. It was produced by Jonathan DuBose, Jr. and is a very diversified and unusual CD. You will hear on one CD, sounds like: - Reggae & Caribbean- Praise & Worship / Inspirational- Theatrical - Traditional and Refreshing Gospel

Her CD was inspired by the Holy Spirit and Beatrice has stood on the word of God that declares "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."

She is the daughter of Dr. Louise Norris, and the late Deacon Chester A. Norris. She was born in Bridgeport, CT and is the fifth child of seven siblings. She received her childhood education in the Bridgeport School System and attended Sacred Heart University. At a very early age, she started singing with her brothers and sisters who were known as "The Norris Singers." Although she serves in many capacities, her passion permits her to sing at many musical attractions, recordings, weddings, home going services, bar mitzvahs, etc.

, throughout the local community, Tri-State area and many other states. Her mother quotes "she started singing before she started talking."

She is a young woman who loves the Lord and works in the vineyard under the auspices of Bishop J. C. White, a renowned Gospel Artist and the Pastor of Cathedral of Praise, formerly known as Turner's Faith Temple, Church of God In Christ, International where she has been a member since birth. She is also a member of the Leadership Council of COP and serves on the Praise & Worship team. Many lives have been changed through her singing. She is a very faithful and humble woman of God that he uses in many different ways. The gifts she possesses are God glorifying and Christ honoring.

She is the wife of Allen Joel Somerville, the mother of three children Corey, Trever and Christina, and the "Na Na" of five sweet granddaughters. She is an example of the "Virtuous Women" in Proverbs 31 and her motto is: "If I can help somebody as I pass along then my living will not be in vain."
