IN MEMORY OF MY DAD
DECEMBER 23, 1928 - JULY 6 2007

Henry H. “Hank” Green Jr., 78 of New Haven, departed this life July 6, 2007.
Born in New Haven, CT, December 23, 1928, he was the son of the late Bishop Henry H. Green Sr. and Victoria Law Green.
Hank was a longtime resident of New Haven. He was a Korean War Veteran and the founder of B & L Record Store, well known as the Boss Soul Man. He was a former employee of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in NYC.
Hank taught at the Connecticut Technical Career Institute for 12 years and at H & R Block Tax Service. He was also licensed to pilot private aircraft.
He is survived by sons Henry H. Green III and Jerry R. Green both of New Haven; daughters, Rennay Green Johnson of Manassas, VA and Theresa Collins of Cheraw, SC; sisters Lily Mae Lowe, Lucille DeBerry (Frank), Bernice V. Heath (Adolphus) and Barbara A. Dozier; a brother, James C. Green; 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his former spouses Irene M. Green and Laura J. Green.
He was predeceased by a sister Anna Mae Doggans.
